APUIM Unsupported Features

Filesharing

APUIM does not support filesharing at this time. The Jabber protocol is still defining the best way to handle filesharing at the server level. Some Jabber clients have implemented filesharing, but it works in peer-to-peer fashion and therefore is troublesome with persons on different networks or going through firewalls. These existing implementations are often incompatible resulting in a lack of interoperability. Once the protcol for file transfer is established, we would hope to support it in the future as more clients adopt it. For more information see Jabber Enhancement Protocol (JEP) 0065.
